Two men arrested after crash on A303 near Micheldever

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a serious collision on the A303 near Micheldever left a man in his 50 with "serious injuries" Officers were called at 7.51am on Monday, April 20, to reports of a crash on the eastbound carriageway between the A34 and the M3. The incident involved a black motorcycle and a grey van.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and is being treated in hospital. A 62-year-old man from Salisbury and a 40-year-old man from Whitchurch have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Both remain in custody.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.51am on Monday, April 20, to reports of a collision on the eastbound carriageway near the Micheldever exit, between the A34 and the M3. "The incident involved a black motorcycle and a grey van. "The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

"A 62-year-old man from Salisbury and a 40-year-old man from Whitchurch have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. They remain in custody at this time." Hampshire Police have stated they would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or motorist with relevant dash cam footage.
