Young motorcyclist tragically dies in A44 collision in Midlands

Police are appealing for information to assist their investigations, particularly dashcam footage

A young motorcyclist has tragically died following a collision with a van on the A44 yesterday.

West Mercia Police[1] confirmed a young man, the rider of a Suzuki motorbike, had died at the scene after the crash on the A44 near Cotheridge in the Malvern Hills yesterday ( Friday 3 April) despite the best efforts of paramedics.

The bike had collided with a Renault Master Van at around 2.30pm.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone who had dashcam footage that could help their investigations.

PC Christopher Waylen said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the young man, who died yesterday.

"We would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw either vehicle the motorbike which was travelling towards Worcester, or the van which was travelling towards Bromyard prior to the collision to please get in touch.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam or other footage which may support our investigation"
