3-vehicle lorry crash blocks busy Derbyshire road for 5 hours as driver arrested

A busy Derbyshire route[1] was blocked for around five hours following a crash involving a lorry and two cars[2].
Drivers were told to "avoid the area" after a collision on the A515 in Darley Moor, near Darley Moor Airfield[3], at around 8am on Wednesday (May 13).
The collision involved a lorry, a Renault and a Mini[4], and the road was fully reopened at around 1.30pm after the vehicles were recovered.
Article continues belowDrivers were being told to avoid the area by police, who also confirmed that the driver of the Renault has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving[5].
Traffic maps showed long delays for traffic in both directions, with the road blocked between Cockshead Lane to the south and Windmill Lane to the north.
