A63 reopens after lorry hits two bridges

A major road in East Yorkshire has reopened after it closed for about four hours during rush-hour.
The westbound carriageway of the A63 was shut between the A15 Humber Bridge road and the A1034 to South Cave at about 16:20 BST after a lorry carrying a digger hit two bridges, National Highways said.
According to the agency, the lorry caused damage to the Welton Road bridge and the Dale Road bridge, causing up to two miles of traffic congestion and delays in the surrounding areas.
Humberside Police said the incident "caused significant disruption" and had advised people to avoid the area.
