Air ambulance called to serious crash that closed busy road near Hereford

The crash involved a van and a motorcycle.

A post from the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service on Facebook, issued shortly before 10am today, said: "Incident - A49 #Portway two appliances from @HWFRS Hereford Fire Station assisting #WMidsAmbulance

#Helimed and West Mercia Police at scene of RTC involving van and motorcyclist, road closed please avoid area where possible."
