Appeal following serious crash on the A75, near Annan
Officers are appealing for information following a crash on the A75 Gretna to Stranraer Road, near Annan on Sunday, 3 May, 2026. The crash took place around 11.10pm, when a grey BMW one series was involved in a collision with a stationary white MAN lorry. Emergency services attended and the 53-year-old driver of the BMW was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
Hospital staff describe his condition as serious. The driver of the lorry did not require hospital treatment. Constable Callum Kingstree said: "Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
"We would also ask any drivers who were on the road around the time of crash with dash-cam footage to please contact us."
