Lorry driver hospitalised after vehicle crash into tree on A31

The incident happened on the A31 near Corfe Mullen at around 5.10pm on Tuesday, May 19. Dorset Police, fire crews from Wimborne, Poole and Christchurch, and the ambulance service attended the scene. A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "A road closure was put in place while the incident was dealt with.
"A man was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening." The driver had been freed from the vehicle before fire crews arrived. Firefighters worked to make the scene safe, with their work completed by 6.01pm.
The road was partially reopened once the scene was made safe, though traffic management remained in place. A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 5:35pm today with reports of an overturned lorry on the A31 near Candy's Lane, Corfe Mullen. "Crews from Wimborne, Poole and Christchurch were mobilised and on arrival found an overturned lorry had left the road and hit a tree.
"The driver of the vehicle was released prior to our arrival and in the care of the ambulance service and firefighters are working to make the scene safe.
"Our stop was in at 6:01pm and the road has been partially reopened and traffic management is in place."
