A person was rescued and cut free from a car involved in a collision with a lorry this evening.
The roof of the vehicle was removed by fire crews at the scene.
Five people in total were checked over by paramedics.
A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said: "Emergency services are currently responding to a road traffic collision involving four vehicles, including a lorry.
"A road closure is in place on the eastbound carriageway while firefighters and paramedics assist five casualties at the scene.
"After making all vehicles safe, crews extricated one casualty from their vehicle by carrying out a full roof removal before handing them into the care of paramedics."
