Pedestrian dies in lorry crash on A15 in Lincoln

An inquest has been opened into the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a lorry on the A15.[1]
Lincolnshire Police[2] were called to the A15 shortly after 1am on Tuesday, May 5, after a collision took place near Riseholme Roundabout.
A pedestrian, Konnor Andrew Watt, of Lincoln[3], had been struck by a white DAF lorry and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road remained closed for almost seven hours whilst the emergency services worked at the scene.
An inquest into the 24-year-old's death was opened by assistant coroner Hannah Berry at the Coroner's Court in Lincoln on Friday, May 22.
She said: "I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr Watt at this incredibly difficult time."
It was heard that a post-mortem examination took place on Thursday, May 14 by Dr Richmond.
Coroner Berry added: "At this time I'm still awaiting the exact medical cause of death."
