Tragedy as Warwickshire man dies in M5 crash

A Warwickshire man has died after a crash on the M5 motorway in Gloucestershire. The crash involved two vehicles, one of which veered off the road leading to a fatal collision.

An investigation was launched which closed a large section of the motorway for almost a whole day. Police are appealing for witnesses in a bid to understand what happened.

A spokesman for the Gloucester Constabulary said: "A man has died following a collision on the M5 yesterday (Wednesday 6 May) and police are appealing for witnesses.

Emergency services were called at around 12.20pm with a report that a white Luton Van had collided with a Volkswagen Transporter and come off the northbound carriageway near to junction 9 for Tewkesbury.
