Two arrested after crash on Watling Street, Strood leads to cannabis, counterfeit goods and cash seizure
Two men have been arrested after a crash led police to bags stuffed with cannabis and a van full of fake goods and cash. Police were called to a collision between two vehicles on Watling Street in Strood at around 9.45am yesterday (May 18).

Witnesses at the scene told officers one of the van's occupants had grabbed two carrier bags and fled. After searching the area, police recovered the bags nearby and found them to contain more than two kilograms of cannabis.
Inside the van, officers uncovered suspected counterfeit clothing bearing well-known brand logos including Ralph Lauren and Nike, as well as dozens of packets of suspected counterfeit tobacco products.
Thousands of pounds in cash were also found inside the vehicle.

Two men, aged 29 and 36, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug dealing and applying false trademark labels to goods.
Both remain in custody.
