Drivers who filmed M11 crash where man died face fines from police
A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash

Drivers who filmed a fatal M11[1] crash will be fined by police. Emergency services were called to a crash on the M11, near to the A505 at Duxford[2], at around midday on Friday, June 12.
The crash involved a Ford Transit van and two HGVs. The driver of the Ford Transit van, Gary Porritt, 43, from Stockton-on-Tees, died at the scene.
While police recovered the vehicles at the scene, officers caught 22 drivers using their phones to take photos and videos of the scene. Cambridgeshire[3] Police has issued a Notice of Intended Prosecution to these drivers.
A police spokesperson said: "More than 20 drivers will need to check their post for letters from us after using their mobile phones to record and photograph the aftermath of a fatal collision.
"While recovering vehicles from the collision on the M11 last Friday, our officers caught 22 drivers using their mobile phones as they passed the scene.
They will each be receiving a Notice of Intended Prosecution for using a mobile phone whilst driving."
