M6 crash between lorry and car sparked A500 queues

Police have issued a statement

The crash on the M6

This was the scene on the M6 this morning where a truck and car had been involved in a collision. However police say there were no reports of any injuries following the smash in Sandbach.

The collision, that occurred just before 5.40am, sparked not only delays on the M6 but on the A500 past Audley. Now Cheshire Police has said the incident was managed by National Highways.

A spokeswoman for the constabulary said: "Called in at 5.38am, a collision between a car and a HGV between Junction 16 and 17 northbound.

No reports of any injuries - all clear by 7.45am."
