Pedestrian dies after incident on A27

A pedestrian who is understood to have fallen from a bridge above the A27 and was struck by a car has died, police said.
Emergency services were called to the road, near the Dyke Road roundabouts, in Hove, at about 09:15 BST on Saturday.
A 59-year-old local man died at the scene and his next of kin have been informed, Sussex Police said.
The A27 was closed in both directions[1] for several hours, but has since reopened.
