Traffic warning ahead of Pink Floyd star’s Wiltshire event

Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and his wife Annette will host thousands of visitors to raise money for charity during their annual open garden at Middlewick House. The event, just off the A4 Bath Road in Corsham, will attract people from all over the country, with motoring enthusiasts making the pilgrimage to see Mr Mason's multi-million-pound car collection. Mr Mason's huge array of cars will be on display, and guests will also have the chance to explore the couple's extensive gardens.

With the open garden taking place on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, drivers in the area have been warned to expect delays over the weekend. Signs have already been put up on the A4 Bath Road by the AA warning that heavy traffic and delays are likely. -- Gazette & Herald (@wiltsgazette) April 13, 2026[3] There is often congestion on the busy A-road during the annual event because of the huge number of people making their way to the gardens from all directions. Last year, more than 15,000 people attended the open garden, raising over GBP200,000 for charity.

This saw queues build in both directions on the A4. This weekend, new measures will be in place that are designed to reduce queues at the event and make life easier for locals by keeping traffic flowing. Unlike previous editions of the open garden, visitors will not be able to buy an entry ticket on the gate in 2026 and must have bought one in advance online.

Anyone parking at the event must have already booked a car park ticket, and must display their permit hanger, or they will be denied entry to the car park. Parking is available elsewhere in Corsham, including at Corsham School. Bobby Van Director Jennie Shaw has previously explained that these rules are in place to help manage traffic during the weekend.

She said: "By limiting admission to the event to advance ticket sales only we will be able to ensure everyone has an enjoyable weekend. "As ever, we are deeply grateful to Nick and Annette for opening up their home and welcoming everyone in. "Tickets will sell quickly so I'd advise people to book as soon as possible."

The event will raise money for the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, as well as Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance.
