Tributes to NHS nurse who died in A419 White Hart crash
The fatal crash, which took place on Friday morning , June 5, saw a Vauxhall Vivaro van collide with a Toyota Aygo which is believed to have broken down on the northbound carriageway near the White Hart roundabout. Sarah Crook, the driver of the broken-down car, was declared dead at the scene. The beloved mother and nurse is understood to have been driving home from Great Western Hospital after a night shift when the crash occurred, according to reports from friends and family, and she leaves behind six children and her husband.

"Nothing could ever take away the pain that her family will feel from such a loss, but if we could offer a small comfort by helping with the expensive funeral costs and giving Sarah the send off she deserves it would be much appreciated. "Sarah, you will be truly missed, you will leave a hole in the hearts of so many."
Others from the Great Western Hospital and the Swindon Community have come together to share their memories and tributes to the Swindon nurse. One hospital colleague wrote: "You were loved by all who had the privilege of knowing you, and your absence will be deeply felt. "I still remember us having a snack together on night shift.
You asked if I would be in again today, and I never knew that would be our last conversation and your goodbye. That moment will stay with me forever." Another wrote: "Sarah was an exceptional nurse whose kindness, compassion, and dedication touched the lives of countless patients, colleagues and most importantly her family and friends.
"All of us on MAU are so lucky to have called you one of our sisters. "Beyond her professional life, Sarah was a loving mother who adored her children. They were her greatest pride and joy, and she spoke of them with endless love."
Wiltshire Police has confirmed that Sarah's next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers following her death. "The van driver suffered no reported serious injuries. No arrests have been made," said a spokesperson for the police force.
