A20 Snargate Street in Dover partially shut due to serious collision involving lorry and pedestrian
A major route has reopened after a woman was hit by a lorry. The A20 Snargate Street in Dover was closed eastbound between the A260 for Hawkinge and Union Street while police officers investigated the serious collision.

Kent Police confirmed that patrols were called to the A20 near the junction with Union Street, at 3.42am today, July 9. They advised motorists travelling to the port to consider using the A2 and Jubilee Way to avoid congestion on the A20.
But in a post at 11.46am, National Highways said the route had reopened. The ambulance service says it assessed and treated a woman for injuries, including to her head, before the air ambulance landed at Radnor Park in Folkestone. It adds the patient was then airlifted to King's College Hospital in London for further medical treatment.
