A35 near Holton Heath closed after crash involving lorry

At around 9:43am on Monday July 6, Dorset Police received a report of a vehicle with an 'unsafe load' along the A35 Dorchester Road, near Holton Heath. Just minutes after they were called to the location, they received a further report that there had been a crash involving a lorry near to the junction with Organford Lane. A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 9.43am to a report of an unsafe load on a vehicle on the A35 in Holton Heath.
"A further report was received of a collision at around 9.50am. Officers attended with fire and ambulance services. "Local authority was made aware due to fluid on the road."
A road closure was put in place and recovery was requested, with delays and heavy traffic stretching back to Wareham Road. Dorset Police have confirmed that a lorry was involved in the collision but have no further detail on what other vehicles may have been involved. It was added that fire and ambulance services were also present at the scene.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: "We were called at 09:45hrs on Monday 6 July to a road traffic collision near Lytchett Minster and we sent two double-crewed land ambulances to the scene."
However, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service say it's not on their logs.
