Car passenger fighting for their life after serious A-road crash

The driver suffered life-changing injuries

A car passenger is fighting for their life after a serious crash in Somerset.

Avon and Somerset Police [1] were called to the A358 in Thornfalcon at around 10.30am on Thursday, July 2.

Officers responded to the two-vehicle crash between a lorry and a car at Mattocks Hill.

The driver of the car is reported to have sustained life-changing injuries, and the passenger is currently in a life-threatening condition.

The force says their next of kin have been informed, and officers continue to update them as their enquiries continue.

The road was closed at the time of the crash and reopened later that day.

The force are now asking for witnesses to come forward with information on 101 quoting reference 526182604.
