Fatal road crash on A82 at Glen Gloy

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal road crash on the A82 at Glen Gloy on Monday, 6 July, 2026. Police were made aware of the crash, involving four vehicles, around 12pm yesterday. Vehicles involved included a lorry (HGV), a Hyundai i10, a Range Rover Sport and a Skoda Karoq.

Emergency services attended and the 63-year-old male driver of the Range Rover Sport was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 62-year-old woman, was airlifted to hospital. His family has been notified.

The 42-year-old male driver of the lorry, the 19-year-old male driver and 21-year-old female passenger of the Hyundai, and the 70-year-old female driver of the Skoda did not require to go to hospital. The road had to be closed for several hours to allow for collision investigation work. Sergeant Ewan Calder said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the man who lost his life.

Our enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the collision to contact us.
