Peacehaven man charged with drink driving after A259 crash
The A259 South Coast Road was partially blocked yesterday (July 6) between Saltdean and Telscombe Cliffs. Sussex Police confirmed they were called to the incident, which happened on the westbound carriageway. Police arrested a man, who has now been charged.

27-year-old Preston Freeman, a Peacehaven resident, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level is above the limit. He has been bailed, and is due to appear in court on September 17. A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: "Police were called to a collision on the westbound carriageway of the A259, Telscombe Cliffs, involving a van and a car on Monday, July 6 at around 8:45am.
"Preston Freeman, 27, of Edith Avenue, Peacehaven, was arrested and charged the same day with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level is above the limit.
"He has been bailed until his court appearance at Brighton Magistrates' Court on September 17."
