Person taken to hospital following two crashes on the M4

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) has issued the following statements on both incidents.

Eastbound:

A spokeswoman said: "SWFRS received a call at approximately 7.52am to reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 eastbound, junction 34 Miskin, to junction 33.

"Crews and an appliance from Bridgend attended the incident involving three vehicles.

Crews made scene safe, no further action was required.

"Stop message was received around 8.22am."

Westbound:

A spokeswoman said: "SWFRS attended another road traffic collision on the M4 westbound, junction 33 to junction 34 miskin.

"Crews and appliances from Whitchurch and Ely attended the incident involving one private vehicle in collision with one HGV.

The private vehicle had left carriageway, stabilisation and cutting equipment were in use by crews.

"The incident was handed over to the police for recovery.

"Stop message was received around 9.10am."
