Woman seriously injured as crash closes major road for 4 hours

A woman has suffered serious injuries after a crash[1] closed a major road for four hours. Cambridgeshire Police[2] were called to the A14[3] at J35 near Stow Cum Quy just after 10pm on Wednesday (July 8).
The crash involved a lorry and car. As a result, a woman suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries. A police spokesperson said: "We were called at about 10.10pm last night following reports of a collision between a car and a lorry at junction 35 of the A14[4], near Stow Cum Quy.
"Officers attended and one woman was treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
The road was cleared and reopened at about 2am."
Following the crash, part of it had to be closed by National Highways for barrier repairs.
