A WOMAN who died after being hit by a car on Monday in West Yorkshire has been named as 81-year-old Sheena McKerrell from Hebden Bridge.
Sheena was walking along Bridgehouse Lane in Haworth at around 5:35pm when she was struck by a vehicle and fatally injured.

A 23-year old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on bail.
Officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are appealing for information from anyone who saw the collision at the junction of Ivy Bank Lane.
Emergency services were called at 17:37 to reports that a woman had been hit by a car.
They rushed to the site in Haworth, but sadly Sheena died at the scene.
The suspect now released on bail was also at the scene when police arrived.

Conservative councillor Rebecca Poulsen said: “My first thoughts are with the lady who tragically passed and her family and friends.
“I’d like to pass on my thanks to the emergency services and residents who helped give emergency aid. It must have been quite distressing for them.
“The people who were present were shocked and upset.”
On Friday, another pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on an A-road.

Essex police reports of a pedestrian in the carriageway on the A133 in Great Bentley, near Colchester, Essex shortly after 8pm.
The man sustained serious injuries before being found by cops.
The force said in a statement: “He was taken to hospital but, sadly, died this morning [April 5].”
Acting Detective Sergeant Rob Andrews thanked members of the public who tried to help the pedestrian.
He said officers were trying to work out an image of what happened leading up to the collision.
Andrews said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died at this very difficult moment.
“We are working to give them the answers about what happened and we are beginning to build a picture of what led up to the collision.
“I also want to thank the members of the public who tried to help the man.”
Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV, dashcam or other footage to get in touch to help with the case.
