First picture of woman who died in horror crash between car and van on major Scots road
A WOMAN who tragically died in a horror crash on the A9 has been named by police.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at Slochd[1], in the Highlands, at around 9.30pm on Monday, May 6.

The fatal smash involved a Kia[2] Rio and an Iveco Daily van.
Morven Gordon, who was the driver of the Kia, sadly died at the scene.
The 42-year-old was from the Aviemore area.
The male passenger in the car and the male driver of the van were uninjured in the crash.
fire engines[3] from Aviemore, Carrbridge and Inverness all scrambled to the scene of the crash.
Police[4] have confirmed that their investigation into the crash is continuing.
And reappeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.

Sergeant David Miller from the Road Policing Unit at Dingwall said: “Our thoughts remain with Morven’s family and friends at this very difficult time. Her family has asked that their privacy is respected.
“Our investigation into this crash is continuing and we would reappeal to anyone who witnessed the crash or who was in the area at the time and has information that may assist to contact us.
“We would also ask drivers with dashcam to check their footage and please get in touch if it holds anything relevant.
“Please contact us through 101, quoting incident 3682 of 6 May, 2024.”
