Man, 62, killed in horror lorry crash on Scots road named by cops

A MAN who was killed in a horror crash between a lorry and a van on a major Scottish road has been named by police.

Emergency crews raced to the scene at around 10.20am on Wednesday, February 12 on the A90 near Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire[1].

The crash involved a silver Mercedes[2] Vito and a grey Mercedes HGV.

The 62-year-old male passenger of the van was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been named as Neil Humphreys from Warwickshire.

The driver of the van, a 43-year-old man, and the driver of the lorry, a 52-year-old man, were both taken to hospital for treatment.


“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash, and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet come forward.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area at the time with a dash-cam to check their footage and share anything that could assist our investigation.”
