Car lands on roof after horror smash on busy Scots motorway

A CAR was left smashed upside down on the central reservation after a horror motorway crash.

Emergency services[1] raced to the M90 at Junction 1 near Scotstoun south of the Queensferry crossing near Edinburgh[2] after the alarm was raised around 12pm today.

The road was left partially blocked near Newbridge for several hours following the collision[3] understood to have involved one vehicle.

Dramatic footage shared by Fife Jammers Locations shows emergency services closing several lanes of the carriageway on the approach to the road bridge.

A vehicle is then seen on its roof near the central reservation.

Officers are seen speaking to pedestrians with medics on scene.

Traffic[4] Scotland confirmed the motorway[5] closed for around an hour.

It is not understood if the occupants of the vehicle have been injured.

Police Scotland[6] were approached for comment.
