The fatal smash involved a HGV lorry and a white Nissan[1] Qashqai.
The 57-year-old man driving[2] the Qashai was pronounced dead at the scene.
The lorry driver, 53, was taken to hospital[3] for treatment as a precaution.
Balshagray Avenue at Victoria Park Gardens South, along with Victoria Park Drive northbound from the Clyde Tunnel, were all closed for several hours as cops investigated.
“I would ask road users and members of the public who were in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem. If you have any dash cam footage please check it and is could prove significant to our investigation[6].”
