Pals of dad killed in horror crash raise thousands of pounds for his heartbroken family

FRIENDS of a dad who was killed in a horror crash have raised thousands of pounds for his family.

James Noble was killed in a freak A9 crash[1] near North Kessock and Tore in the Highlands on March 12.

The crash happened on the B9161 road near the junction for Munlochy and involved a Volvo Tipper and a Scania Tipper.

James, known to his friends as Jamie, was standing at the side of his vehicle when the freak collision happened.

The 30-year-old’s friends have now set up a Just Giving page to help support his partner Morven and his son Daniel.

The page has raised over £9,000 to help the heartbroken family from the Nairn area in the Highlands.


“Sadly Jamie lost his life, my and Jamie’s friends are trying to raise a bit of money to help Jamie’s partner Morven and his little boy Daniel just to make things a bit easier at this very difficult time.”

Jamie’s family paid tribute to the “amazing dad” following his death.

In a statement, they said: “Jamie was a much-loved fiance to Morven and an amazing dad to Daniel.

“He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

“Our family would appreciate privacy at this difficult time, while we come to terms with our loss.”

The A9 road was closed down for around eight hours as crash investigators conducted inquiries at the scene.

Pedestrian, 68, dies after horror crash in Scots town as woman, 24, arrested

A PEDESTRIAN has died in hospital following a horror crash as cops arrested a female driver in connection with the incident.

Mercy crews[1] raced to the A721 Bellshill Road on the junction of Logans Road, Motherwell[2], at around 9.10pm on Sunday, March 17.

A 68-year-old man was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross the carriageway.

The man was rushed to the Queen[3] Elizabeth University Hospital[4] to be treated.

He sadly died from his injuries[5] four days later on Thursday, 21 March.

No one else was injured.
