Notting Hill shooting sees police cordon off ‘bloodstained’ car with victim in hospital
A person has been rushed to the hospital after being shot[1] in west London[2] overnight, the police have said. Police officers and ambulance staff rushed to Clydesdale Road, near Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill, and taped off the area. It is understood the shooting happened overnight.
Photos from the scene show a large police crime scene set up with a car parked up within the cordon. The driver’s side door is open with the window appearing damaged and what looks to be blood on the inside of the door. A Metropolitan Police person confirmed with MyLondon[3] that a person was taken to the hospital, but their condition was not known.
Clydesdale Road is in a leafy, affluent part of the area right by Powis Square, where a one-bed flat sells for around GBP725,000. It is a quiet road, just off Westbourne Park Road which is renowned for its pastel-coloured houses. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (20 November) at 2:09am to reports of an incident at Clydesdale Road, W11.
We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew and a medic in a fast-response car. “We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance, consisting of a trauma team in a car. We treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a major trauma centre.”
The Mirror has contacted the Metropolitan Police for further comment.
