The A60 Mansfield Road has been closed in both directions after a car hit the central reservation and took out a traffic light. The incident happened in Daybrook at the junction with Nottingham Road, near the Madford Retail Park, at about 5.09pm. Nottinghamshire Police[1] officers are at the scene.

A woman was taken to hospital following the crash, however, her injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening. As a result of the accident, the NCT Brown 15, 16, 17 and Yellow 68 to 71 services have had to divert. Traffic congestion has also formed.

Do you agree with the council’s plans to increase traffic enforcement?[2] A statement from traffic aggregator website Inrix reads: “A60 Mansfield[3] Road in both directions partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident at Nottingham Road (near the Retail Park). Diversion – for bus services Brown 15, 16, 17 and Yellow 68 to 71.”

According to traffic sensors, the traffic in the area is still relatively slow.
