Man left with slash wound and head injury after serious city attack on Nottingham’s Alfreton Road

Nottinghamshire Police officers are looking to speak to witnesses following an attack on Alfreton Road, Nottingham, on Saturday (December 10). Officers were called to Old Market Square[1] at 7.30am where paramedics were treating a 20-year-old man who had sustained a serious slash wound to his hand and an injury to his head. Officers were able to locate where the attack took place, finding blood stains outside Tipoo restaurant on Alfreton Road.

It is believed the incident happened at this location between 4.30am and 6am on Saturday morning (December 10). A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody. If anyone was in the area this morning and witnessed what happened, or has obtained dash cam footage of the incident, please call 101 quoting incident 168 of December 10.
