Nottinghamshire Police close A617 road near Newark and Kelham due to flooding

Nottinghamshire police have confirmed that a road has been closed due to flooding. “We have had to close the A617 between the A46 Cattle Market roundabout in Newark and the Fox Inn in Kelham due to flood water making it impassable,” said a police spokesman. A diversion has been reported as being in place via the A616 and Ollerton Road (and vice versa).
