Nottinghamshire Police officers attended an incident at Newark Castle today (December 25)
Emergency services were called to Newark Castle today following concerns for a female’s safety. Nottinghamshire Police were called to the incident today (December 25), at 12.18pm. Officers working with police negotiators successfully and safely resolved the incident at 3.24pm.

Chief inspector Paul Hennessy of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Police were called to Newark Castle this afternoon following a report from a member of the public reporting concerns for a distressed female.”
The female was unharmed.
“Thank you for the patience demonstrated by the public whilst we managed this incident,” added Mr Hennessy.
