Police issue update after man hit by tram in Beeston
A man remains in hospital after being hit by a NET tram in a Nottinghamshire town. He was taken to hospital with head injuries on Thursday afternoon (November 30) following the collision, which took place at around 2.30pm on Chilwell Road, Beeston. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening and inquiries remain ongoing.
Sergeant Mark Baker, of Nottinghamshire Police[1]‘s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “At around 2.30pm yesterday (Thursday 30 November 2023) officers were called to reports of a collision involving a tram and a pedestrian in Chilwell Road, Beeston. “Emergency services attended the scene. A man was taken to hospital with head injuries.
His injuries are now not currently believed to be life-threatening and he remains in hospital. “Road closures were put in place while the incident was dealt with. The road was back open by 8.45pm.
Inquiries remain ongoing.”
As a result of the incident, there were no trams running between Beeston to Cator Lane.
