Police were called to McFees Rd in Dandenong North after 12pm on Sunday. Emergency services performed CPR on the child, who was later pronounced dead. Police said the driver of the vehicle stopped after at the scene and is currently assisting them with investigations.
Emergency services have also blocked the road from traffic, closing southbound lanes before the Monash Freeway and McFees Road
