CCTV images released after Nottingham tram ticket inspector hit by passenger in Basford
Police have released images of a man they want to speak to after a ticket inspector was attacked by a passenger who had not paid. A tram[1] worker was assaulted by a man at Armstrong Way in New Basford[2] at around 5.40pm on December 28, officers said. She had asked him to get off the tram at the next stop as he had not paid for a ticket, Nottinghamshire Police[3] said.
When the tram stopped, police said the man stood up and lashed out at the woman's body-worn camera - hitting her in the chest in the process. He continued to be verbally abusive towards the staff member as he left the tram stop. Officers have now released a picture of a man they want to speak to in connection with the investigation.

"The staff member was simply trying to do her job in this instance, and really didn't deserve to be treated in the manner she was.
We would ask that anyone who recognises the man in this picture gets in touch with us, as we would like to speak to him.
