Lincolnshire Police statement after woman killed in A17 Heckington crash as fresh appeal issued

Lincolnshire Police[1] has issued a fresh appeal after a fatal crash[2] which took place at a junction on a major road. The two-vehicle crash, involving a blue Ford Fiesta and a black Honda HRV, took place at around 11am on Friday, August 23 at the B1394 junction joining the A17 near Heckington[3].

A man sustained serious injuries and a woman in her 80s, who was a passenger in the Fiesta, died. Police issued an updated appeal on October 4 urging people with information to come forward, particularly a certain lorry driver who was in the area at the time.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “Detectives have been conducting enquiries to try and piece together what happened on that day and will continue to pursue all lines of enquiry available to them. However, they would like to urge anyone who may have information but haven’t spoken to the police yet to do so.
