The road, between the A617 and the A6097, was closed on the southbound carriageway for much of today[1] while investigations took place, but this closure has now been lifted.

Nottinghamshire Police have made an appeal for information or relevant dashcam footage[2] which may assist officers. Sergeant Mark Baker, of the serious collision investigation unit, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with this woman’s family and loved ones at an incredibly distressing time. “They will be supported by specially trained officers.

“Our investigation into the causes of the collision is at a very early stage and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to get in touch.

“I would also like to thank motorists for their patience while road closures were in place.”

Anyone who may be able to assist police in their investigations is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 643 of November 23, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
