A52 Nottingham live updates as crash causes delays on major route

Motorists were hit by delays on part of the A52 in Nottingham following a crash. One of the westbound lanes was closed at the Dunkirk Island due to the two-vehicle collision, which was first reported at around 1.30pm on Tuesday, January 28. Nottingham Travelwise, which monitors traffic across the city, said: "A52 Westbound at Dunkirk Island.

2 vehicle RTC has caused lane 1 to be closed. Please take extra care if you are travelling through the area." The A52 is a major road that links Nottingham and Derby.

The route has recently been impacted by works near Queen's Medical Centre, which have been needed to repair the roundabout's bridge - which was damaged by a lorry in 2018.
