Three men die in crash between lorry and car near Bonvilston

Three men have died after a crash between a car and a tipper lorry in the Vale of Glamorgan.

South Wales Police is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which happened on the A48 near Bonvilston shortly before 5pm on Tuesday, 1 April.

The crash involved two vehicles, a blue Ford Puma car and a red and black Scania tipper lorry.

A police statement said: "As a result of the collision a 51-year-old man from Porthcawl, a 34-year-old man from Bridgend and a 48-year-old man from Ferndale have died."

The carriageway remained closed for several hours following the crash.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision or have dashcam footage to contact them on 101, quoting occurrence number 2500102402.
