Man arrested after ‘life-changing’ crash injures six

A man has been arrested after a crash between a car and a tipper truck left one person with potentially life-changing injuries and five others injured.

The collision happened between Bristol and Bath on the A420 Tog Hill crossroads[1], with Freezinghill Lane and Gorse Lane, shortly after 11:00 BST on Thursday.

A passenger from a blue Volvo car remains in a "critical and life-threatening condition" in hospital, while four other occupants of the car and the driver of the red Scania tipper truck were also injured, Avon and Somerset Police said.

A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
