Teenager killed in crash between car and tipper truck
A woman has died after a crash between a car and a lorry yesterday, Thursday, July 24. At around 1.30pm, the crash[1] happened on the A4 Bath Road in Corsham, near Wiltshire's border with Somerset. The crash was located at the junction with the B3109.
It involved a Hyundai i10 and a Scania Tipper HGV. A 19-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police[2] said: "Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time." A female driver and a male passenger, who were in the car, suffered serious injuries and remain in hospital being treated. The driver of the HGV was uninjured.
The police force are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
