Man dies two days after car and truck collide in Staffordshire horror crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly driver died two days after a crash in Staffordshire. Emergency services were sent to the A4601 in Cannock after a black Skoda and a Scania tipper truck collided.

Now officers have confirmed that the Skoda driver - a man in his 70s - passed away in hospital on Saturday, August 23. The truck driver remained at the scene following the smash, which happened Wolverhampton Road, at the junction of Saredon Road at 11am on Thursday, August 21.

He is assisting officers with their inquiries.

A Staffordshire Police[1] spokesman said: "We are appealing for information after a man sadly died following a collision on the A4601 near Great Saredon last week.

A black Skoda and a Scania tipper truck were involved.
