Appeal after father of four died in crash
Police investigating a crash in Nottinghamshire that killed a father of four have appealed for additional witnesses to come forward.
Scott Beattie, from Clipstone, was driving on the A614 at about 14:15 GMT on 23 January when his Ford Transit left the road and collided with a tree, Nottinghamshire Police said.
In a statement, Beattie's family said the 41-year-old was "a devoted and loving father to his four children, a cherished son, brother, and a dear friend to many". Advertisement Advertisement
The crash happened between Thoresby Roundabout and Clumber Park Hotel, the force said, and investigations into what happened are continuing.
The family statement said: "[Scott] was loving, funny, and hardworking, with the biggest heart and endless generosity of time, affection, and love for others.
"Scott will be sorely missed by everyone whose life he touched, and our lives will never be the same without him.
We promise to keep his memory alive."
Det Con Liah Lane said: "As we work to provide answers to Mr Beattie's family, we would like to speak to anyone who saw this white van travelling south towards Ollerton in the moments before the collision. Advertisement Advertisement
