Family pay tribute to ‘devoted and loving’ dad killed after van hits tree in horror crash

Tributes have been paid to a "devoted and loving" father who died after a crash on an A-road. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Scott Beattie, who lived in Clipstone, Nottinghamshire was killed following after his Ford Transit van hit a tree at 2:15pm on Friday, January 23, reports The Mirror.[1][2]
The incident occurred when Scott had been driving[3] along the A614 between Thoresby Roundabout and Clumber Park Hotel. Mr Beattie's family paid tribute to the 41 year-old is survived by his partner and children.

In a statement[4] they said: "Scott was a devoted and loving father to his four children, a cherished son, brother, and a dear friend to many. He was loving, funny, and hardworking, with the biggest heart and endless generosity of time, affection, and love for others.
"Scott will be sorely missed by everyone whose life he touched, and our lives will never be the same without him. We promise to keep his memory alive."
Police are continuing to investigate what happened in the last moments before Mr Beattie's death.

Detective Constable Liah Lane, of the force, said: "As we work to provide answers to Mr Beattie's family, we would like to speak to anyone who saw this white van travelling south towards Ollerton in the moments before the collision.
"Any information you can provide - no matter how small it may seem - may prove crucial to our investigation."
