Nottinghamshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service are currently on scene.

National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene to assist with traffic management. Drivers are to expect delays of less than 10 minutes on the approach to the area. Eastbound traffic is being diverted through the A6011 past Lady Bay Bridge and onto Meadow Lane and take the exit onto the A612 towards Lowdham.

Drivers are advised to take the last exit onto A6097 and continue until the roundabout with the A46, where they can take the A46 southbound to rejoin the eastbound A52 at Saxondale Island. Drivers on the westbound traffic are being told to exit the A46 westbound roundabout and join the A6096 towards Lowdham, where they can then follow the A612 towards Nottingham.

At the A612/A6011 roundabout, drivers can take the exit and join the A6011, where they go pst Lady Bay Bridge and can then re-join the A52 westbound. A National Highways spokesman said: "If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time.

Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey."
