Man dies after being hit by van on A57

Nottinghamshire Police has referred itself to the police watchdog after the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a van near Worksop.
The force said the referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) was due to previous contact with the victim, who died on the A57 on 10 June.
Officers said a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van stopped and gave an account of what happened to officers, police said.
Det Insp Jamie Moore said: "Our thoughts are with the man's family and they are being supported by specially trained police officers.
"We would like to hear from anyone with information, or relevant dashcam footage, about what happened and who has not yet given an account to officers."
