Hollyoaks has revealed more details of the show’s huge January stunt.
Lives hang in the balance later this month as several much-loved characters are embroiled in a road disaster involving multiple vehicles.
The show previously offered a brief glimpse of the high-stakes storyline but the newly released 2024 trailer has confirmed who’s involved.
Felix Westwood is left devastated when he discovers that his fiancée Mercedes McQueen has been cheating on him, although he still doesn’t know that his best friend Warren Fox is the other man.

On the day of her wedding, Mercedes gives into temptation with Warren again when they cross paths at The Dog.
Before long, Felix confronts his cheating partner while travelling to the church in a car. Mercedes and Warren are both passengers in the vehicle and are left terrified by Felix’s erratic behaviour, which ultimately puts their lives in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, Ste Hay is desperate to get his daughter Leah Barnes to the hospital when he finds her unconscious in a field after she drank heavily during a rave.
Leah starts to slip away in the back of the car, but Ste remains determined to get her to safety. Will he make it on time, or find himself entangled in carnage on the way?

Theresa McQueen’s journey back to the village goes badly wrong, culminating in her stumbling out of her car covered in blood after the crash.
The fan favourite tries to help someone who’s still trapped in the car. Firefighters Leela Lomax and Joel Dexter step in and they’re shocked to discover who Theresa has been travelling with.

During the crash, an unidentified stranger is seen fleeing the scene. Hollyoaks bosses have confirmed that this is a “new character with a big secret”, who’ll be causing a stir in 2024.
Nancy Osborne also heads back to the village, leading to a heartwarming reunion for her and husband Darren.
Sadly, Nancy’s comeback also turns sour when she hears about the crash and the news that Charlie Dean is missing.
In the build-up to the disaster, Joel plans to propose to Leela and looks forward to extending their family following the news that Leela is pregnant.
However, when the couple springs into action following the crash, is their chance of a happy-ever-after under threat?

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
