EDINBURGH’S Forth Road Bridge has been shut in both directions due to an ongoing police incident.
The A9000 road in the capital has been closed to traffic since 8pm this evening.

Traffic Scotland warned motorists of huge disruption on X – formerly known as Twitter.
They added that the closure will impact buses, taxis, cyclists and pedestrians.
The post on X read: “The Forth Road bridge is currently CLOSED in BOTH DIRECTIONS due to a police incident.
“This impacts buses, taxis, cyclists and pedestrians that would usually use the bridge.”
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
